it's been so long since I've been in an OCT....this one looked fun so I thought why not? Let's try to join an OCT again kids! For this one, though, I wanted to give my robot boy a chance to shine in the depths of space!

Strengths:
Sustainable Core Excelsiors main form of energy and life is a self sustaining electric core built to last as long as a human life. It will not give out unless it is broken, or after 100 years pass.
Brilliant Mind His brain is full of algorithyms and analatical processors built for analyzing and watching others before striking at the precise moment of weakness shown after careful observation.
Fast Sending charges of power to his legs, knees, and feet cause Excelsior to be able to move at an incredible speed.
Adaptable As a fighting bot, he was built and modified to be adaptable to his surroundings in the ring and to his oppononets movements, leaning how to counter them quickly.

Weaknesses:
Low Strength What he has in speed he lacks in strength. Excelsior relies on immobilizing and grounding his opponents. His physical strength, despite being a robot, leaves something to be desired.
Way too Literal If you use the phrase 'bite me' around him he will literally open his mouth and take a bite out of your arm without hesitation, with only the confused question of 'you told me to bite you?' to offer when you yell and ask why he did it.
Cannot Go in Water Excelsiors frame and chasis are run entirely on sustainable electricity. Water or liquid getting into his chasis and harming his electrical currents could prove fatal to himself. He prefers dry environments.
Recharge Period Necessary When overexerting himself or using his core energy without proper warmup or preparation, a recharge period is necessary. This leaves Excelsior vulnerable to attacks and the movements of others for as long as the period lasts.

Abilities:
SpeedWhen he wants to, Excelsior can dash quickly away and out of the line of sight of someone he perceives as a threat. Charging electricity from his core to his feet, he can move quickly away. It leaves behind a trail of blinding blue light for a moment when he does so.
Electrical Manipulation Excelsior can manipulate his electrical core energy to use it as a weapon, charging it from his core into his palms and knees to help him both move fast and send dangerous jolts of electricity firing from his palms. The electricity itself has a range of several feet, but the further away from his body the weaker his shock is. It is most effective in his preferred methods of hand-to-hand combat. A full hit with his palm directly on a form can cause nasty shocks, paralysis, and electrical burns if not carefully controlled.
Infrared SightExcelsior is able to detect dangerous, nonorganic material using his electrical charges and the fields around other electronical objects. They light up the objects a shade of red and blue when located, but this ability only lasts for a few seconds and takes up a tremendous amount of time and energy. It is easier to sometimes just listen and pay attention to surroundings, but it is good for seeing through thin walls. He can't see objects through walls more than 2-3.5 feet thick.
Nanoshock Excelsior's last ditch attack during very tight spots. Charging up all of his core energy, he can send out a wave of electricity that fires in all directions. It effects any electronics or people within a 10-14 foot radius. Electronics in its range are fried or briefly turn off from overload. People or other biological beings caught in it experience a temporary state of paralysis along with a fierce ringing in their ears that disorients them for about two minutes. However, this ability takes up much of his core energy and leaves him unable to attack or do anything for a minute, as he needs to take his time to recharge

Personality:
Excelsior is hard, sharp, and literal in most cases. He takes things with a literal meaning to them and has trouble processing sarcasm all too often, as well as other jokes. Despite this, his growing AI processors helps him to be curious as well. He asks questions and expects answers. If there are no answers to be found in the people he is talking to, he will try to seek out those answers himself. He wants to learn and, more importantly, to grow. He believes that there is no survival without growth and adaptation. Humans, robots, and aliens alike need to develop and expand or die. Mostly serious, his sense of humor tends to be a dark sort of humor that has mostly to do with the mortality of himself and others. He's not even qutie sure how to laugh yet, but, he is getting there. However, he is smart and clever and knows how to move his body and activate his mind in a way that benefits him. INherently, Excelsior is selfish. He does what he wants to do because he wants to do it or is curious on how to do it. Even if it seems he is working in his favor, it's probably becaues he wants to do something on his own and experiment with differnet situations. Emotional attatchements are still new to him, and he doesn't get a chance to work with them or develop them often. He gets confused and biased when he does develop attatchements and isn't quite sure how to go about defending or working through them. All in all he is a robot who is still trying to learn just how to be emotional.

Backstory:
The EX-10-R AI battle bot was built and developed in New York, New York as a result of a series of experiments with positronic brain studies and sustainable independent cores. Scientists attempted to build a bot that could learn, develop, and grow of its own will and make decisions similar to how a person would, with small switches and a more easily manipulatable mind for subtle controlling. EX-10-R, codenamed Excelsior by those working closest to the project, was the first successful model of robot in the experimental line. The first several years of his life was spent in a lab, connected to monitors and different cables repeating the same type of experiments and tests and brain teasers over and over and over again until he had them committed to memory. Psychological tests were performed on him as well in order to better understand how Excelsior would react. The news of a developing AI got out and soon, in the course of only 7 years, the modern age of androids and thinking robots blossomed across America. Excelsior and his creators were hailed as some of the most modern innovators of technology. It wasn't long until they suggested that they should shut down Excelsior and place him in a museum that was being created to commemorate the discovery of the robotic fields of technology.

Fearful of being turned off or what would happen when he died, Excelsior broke free from his creators and destroyed the lab he was made in, escaping into the night where he was picked up and stolen by a group of illegal bot fighters. He spent the next years of his life in the underground and slums of New York and other parts of the east coast, being modified and constantly manhandled by those who found him in order to better succeed in bot fights. He's still being hunted down by authorities and members of the New York Roboticist Company, a great prize being put on his head for his 'safe return'. Meanwhile, he met and discovered many new android technologies and more about himself as he grew up into a fighter bot. After a while, he turned on those who had found him and declared that he would be fighting for himself, with a team of people and robots that he chose to be around. He would have no trouble, he warned, killing those who treid to keep him teathered to them. They called his bluff, saying that robots could not hurt humans. That was when he snapped the neck of the nearest person he could locate to prove he was serious.

Excelsior is now well known in the underground fighting ring of most robotic battles, and is one of the most expensive bots in the ring at most times. When he's fighting, almost all best go on him.

Other:
- his steps don't make much noise
- he's magnetic and will stick to magnets if they are big enough
- his hair stands up on end because he and it are constantly charged with electricity
- doesn't need to sleep or eat
- will punch a man multiple times if he feels like it

Seriously though, this is such a cool character and I can't wait to see him in action!
